Product Description
1|One Format, Two Heights, Four Pitches
The S-Series is a family rather than a single product: one 320 × 160 mm module, one cabinet platform, and a choice of pixel pitch and screen height. That structure lets a retail chain standardise on one mounting system and one content workflow while specifying different densities for different positions — a finer pitch at a service counter, a coarser one above a shopfront display.
- Screen sizes: 640 × 1440 mm and 640 × 1920 mm
- Pixel pitch: P1.53 (S-1.5), P1.86 (S-1.8), P2 and P2.5
- LED package: SMD1212, SMD1515, SMD1515 and SMD2121 respectively
- Brightness: 800–1000 nits across all four pitches
- Refresh rate: 1920 Hz or 3840 Hz, selectable
Both heights share the same 640 mm width, so units line up without modification when several are installed side by side.

2|800–1000 Nits: Bright Enough for a Lit Retail Floor
An indoor LED poster screen fails in one of two ways: too dim against shop lighting, or too bright at close range. 800–1000 nits sits in the working band for retail and mall interiors — visible against downlights and window spill, without the glare that a 2,500-nit window-facing unit would produce at one metre.
- Brightness 800–1000 nits, uniform across all four pitches
- Colour temperature adjustable 3000–10000 K to match ambient lighting
- 14-bit grey scale for smooth gradient on photography and video
- 160° horizontal / 140° vertical viewing angle
A 3000 K setting reads warm under tungsten-style store lighting; 6500 K reads neutral next to cool white LEDs. Being able to match the room is what stops the screen looking like a foreign object in a fitted interior.
3|Choosing the Pitch: Viewing Distance Decides
Pixel pitch is a function of where people stand, not of budget alone. As a working rule, minimum comfortable viewing distance is roughly the pitch in millimetres expressed in metres, and optimal viewing is about three times that.

| Pitch | Minimum distance | Optimal distance | Best position |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1.53 (S-1.5) | ~1.5 m | ~4.6 m | Counter, reception, close-reading menu |
| P1.86 (S-1.8) | ~1.9 m | ~5.6 m | Shop entrance, aisle end, showroom |
| P2 | ~2.0 m | ~6.0 m | Open retail floor, mall walkway |
| P2.5 | ~2.5 m | ~7.5 m | Concourse, atrium, above eye level |
Buying finer than the viewing distance requires pays for pixels nobody resolves; buying coarser produces visible mesh at close range. Match the pitch to the position and the specification stops being a price argument.
4|Front Service Access: Maintenance Without Dismantling
Front service access means a module is replaced from the face of the screen — no removal from the wall, no access to the rear, no dismounting a 50 kg cabinet.
- Modules serviced from the front, in place
- No rear clearance required, so the unit can sit against a wall or inside joinery
- Module-level replacement rather than whole-cabinet swap
- 100,000-hour rated lifespan reduces intervention frequency
For a mall with screens at height, or a retailer with units fixed into a shopfit, this is the difference between a 20-minute module swap and a morning of dismantling. It is also what makes the slim installation possible in the first place.
5|Content and Control
- 1920 Hz refresh for standard playback; 3840 Hz when the screen will appear on camera or in livestreams (3840 Hz removes scan banding on video)
- 14-bit grey scale, 16,384 levels
- Colour temperature 3000–10000 K, adjustable
- AC 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz wide input — no site-specific transformer
- Working temperature −10 °C to +40 °C; storage −20 °C to +60 °C
6|Where It Fits — and Where It Does Not
The S-Series is specified for indoor, dry environments. Its ingress rating is IP31, which protects against solid objects over 2.5 mm and vertical drips. That is a genuine limit, and it is worth stating plainly:
| Environment | Suitable | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Retail floor, mall walkway | ✅ | Primary application |
| Showroom, exhibition stand | ✅ | Front service helps on stand |
| Hotel lobby, bank branch | ✅ | Dry, supervised |
| Restaurant dining area | ✅ | Keep clear of pass and wash-down zones |
| Counter with drinks or spills | ⚠️ | Not for splash exposure; consider an IP43 unit |
| Window with condensation | ❌ | Moisture risk to SMD lamps |
| Semi-outdoor, doorway, canopy | ❌ | Not weather rated |
| Wet cleaning / spray-down | ❌ | Dry or damp cloth only |
Where liquid exposure is part of the brief, specify a GOB-encapsulated IP43 cabinet instead — the protection is a different construction, not a coating.
7|Installation and Configuration
- 640 mm width consistent across both heights, so runs align
- Module 320 × 160 mm, shared across all four pitches
- Cabinet weight 50 kg
- Front service means minimal rear clearance
- Power per unit: 640×1440 ≈ 737 W max / 369 W average; 640×1920 ≈ 983 W max / 492 W average (calculated from 800/400 W/m²)
Note the power figures before specifying an electrical circuit: an average draw of 400 W/m² is higher than a typical indoor poster, and a row of units accumulates quickly. Plan the circuit for the maximum, not the average.

FAQ
What is the difference between the S-Series and a foldable LED poster? The S-Series is a rigid cabinet with front service access, built for fixed indoor installation. Foldable models trade rigidity for storage and transport. Choose rigid if the unit stays in one place.
Is 800 nits bright enough indoors? Yes for retail and mall interiors. It is not intended for window-facing or daylight-exposed positions, where 2,500 nits and higher is the working range.
Should I choose 1920 Hz or 3840 Hz refresh? 1920 Hz is sufficient for still and video content viewed by eye. Specify 3840 Hz when the screen will be filmed or livestreamed — it removes scan banding on camera.
What is the resolution of a 640 × 1920 P2.5 LED poster? 256 × 768 pixels — 2 modules wide by 12 modules high, each module 128 × 64 pixels.
What does front service access mean? Modules are removed and replaced from the face of the screen, with the cabinet left in place. No rear clearance and no dismounting are required.
Is IP31 waterproof? No. IP31 resists solid objects over 2.5 mm and vertical drips. It is an indoor dry-environment rating, not a splash or weather rating.
Can it be used in a restaurant or hospital? In dry areas, yes. Keep it clear of wash-down zones, spray cleaning and condensation. Where liquid exposure is likely, specify an IP43 GOB cabinet instead.
How much does a unit weigh? Rated at 50 kg. Confirm the figure for each height before planning lifting, stairs or freight — a 1,440 mm and a 1,920 mm cabinet should not weigh the same.
How much power does one screen draw? At 800/400 W/m², a 640 × 1920 cabinet draws approximately 983 W maximum and 492 W average. Plan electrical circuits for the maximum.
What is the lifespan? Rated 100,000 hours, which is roughly 11 years of continuous operation. Practical life depends on brightness setting and duty cycle.
Can several units be installed side by side? Yes. All four pitches and both heights share a 640 mm width, so units align without modification.
What colour temperature should I set? Match the room: around 3000 K under warm retail lighting, 5000–6500 K beside cool white LED. The range is 3000–10000 K, adjustable.
